FAQs

Can I ask for training advice?

I'm always happy to share my personal experiences, but I'm not a qualified behaviourist or trainer. Any advice I offer is based on my own journey of living with Basenjis and shouldn't replace professional guidance.

Do you accept collaborations?

Yes! If your brand aligns with Basenji Diaries and you think we'd be a good fit, I'd love to hear from you.

Can I feature my Basenji on Basenji Diaries?

Absolutely! I love hearing your stories and may occasionally feature members of the Basenji community (with permission, of course).

Can I ask about feeding or nutrition?

Of course! I'm always happy to chat about what has worked for my own dogs and share my experiences. However, I'm not a qualified canine nutritionist, and any information I provide should be considered personal opinion rather than professional advice. If you have concerns about your dog's health or diet, please speak to your vet or a qualified canine nutritionist.

Can you help me choose a Basenji puppy?

I'm always happy to chat about the breed, share my experiences and point you towards helpful resources. However, choosing the right breeder and puppy is a very personal decision, and I encourage everyone to do plenty of research before bringing a Basenji into their home.

Do you breed Basenjis?

No. Basenji Diaries is a personal blog celebrating life with the breed. I don't breed Basenjis or have any plans to do so.

Can you recommend a breeder?

I'm happy to suggest reputable places to start your research, such as breed clubs and health-tested breeders. However, I don't publicly endorse or recommend individual breeders, and I encourage prospective owners to carry out their own research and ask plenty of questions before making a decision.

Can I use your photos or illustrations?

Please don't use or reproduce any photographs, illustrations or written content without permission. If you'd like to share something from Basenji Diaries, you're very welcome to link back to the original article or social media post.
